2012 Tour Schedule 

January 1st, 2012:

We're pleased to announce the long-awaited 2012 Tour Schedule.  Our apologies for not putting the schedule on the website until January.  We have been in contract negotiations with a television production company for a new television series and we did not know how this would effect our standard tours.  We will not be offering tours during June this year because that month will be used by the television production company to shoot the television series episodes.  We have been able to negotiate most of May so that we can offer our tours to the general public for another great year in Tornado Alley.  

TOUR DESCRIPTIONS:  

Photo Tour:  Join StormChase.com owner Brian Barnes, and host of Wild Photo Adventures Doug Gardner for 10 exciting days on in Tornado Alley specifically geared for photographers of all levels.  Doug Gardner is one of America's top outdoor photography experts with numerous publications and books available.  He is the host of Wild Photo Adventures, which airs in syndication nationwide in the United States.  Brian is one of the top storm chasers in the world who will lead our group to the best chances for tornado development on each day of the tour.  Doug will conduct "mini photo workshops" while en-route each day, as well as help tour guests with their specific questions and needs on how to become a better photographer.  If you're interested in learning outdoor photography, lighting techniques, cloudscapes, lighting photography and how to get the most out of your camera - this is the tour for you!  

Tours 2 and 3:  Tours 2 and 3 are each 6-day tours that are based out of Oklahoma City.  Brian will lead each tour and work with each tour customer to help them learn about mesoscale convective meteorology, storm structure, picking a forecasting target area, and storm interception strategy.  Each tour is open to the general public, ages 18+.
