We proudly offer different options and specialty storm tour adventure travel experiences.
Waterspout Tours – Based in Key West during Florida’s late summer storm season, we’ll head out on the water via boat with Captain Jim as we view the natural beauty of the Florida Keys and traverse along the keys in search of waterspouts. These tours are a lot of fun and we’ll often witness multiple waterspouts on any given day. Waterspouts are by the way “tornadoes,” as defined by being a rotating column of air extending from the cloud base and in-contact with the surface. They also have a land based cousin that we see a lot of in the high plains, the “landspout.” Our waterspout tours are a lot more “laid back” than our Tornado Alley tours, and include a lot of great food and even the same hotel each night of the tour! ![]() International Storm Tours – We’re always coming up with ideas and making special offerings. Such things as chasing supercells in Australia, or intercepting typhoons in Southeast Asia, or even massive snowstorms are not out of the question with StormTours.com – we just love weather! Some international tours may include several months of planning, some may require only a few days (i.e.: Typhoons are more time sensitive than hurricanes due to the travel involved). You’ll have to routinely check our tour schedule for updates, or better yet – sign up for our newsletter, “The Forecast.” Some of our special offer tours will only be made public through our newsletter, so sign up for it today. Signature Tours – Do you a have a group and need a great team building experience that includes action and adventure? If so, you’ll want to contact us for more information about our Private Signature Tours. Our experts can accommodate your group with a storm chasing adventure that is custom designed specifically for you. We’ll help your flight staff get your team into the best possible airport on any given storm day and we’ll bring you back to your flight that evening. Weather permitting, anything is possible.

Educational Tours - our educational tours are designed with more learning through lectures in-mind than our regular tours offer. On a lecture tour we’ll spend more time explaining the various techniques and charts used by meteorologist to forecast severe weather. Each participant will receive a mini-workbook that contains the terminology, charts and forecasting practices that we’ll cover during our lectures from our mobile storm chasing classroom.
